Store Norske Spitsbergen Kulkompani has built a processing plant for its coal in Svalbard to increase the quality of the coal further. They wanted to optimize all operations through greater control of chemical dosing. Thus, minimizing environmental impact, increasing process control, reducing operational costs and easier detection of process-related irregularities.

Promin AS inspected the chemical plant and issued a comprehensive report recommending many measures. Store Norske wanted that Promin would run the project with improved chemical control.

After an offer process where quality, delivery and price were set as parameters, Store Norske selected Promin to go ahead with the company Vision Tech AS. Promin made the blueprints that was sent to Vision Tech for production. The project was designed, produced and delivered on deadline and the equipment is now in use in Svea on Svalbard. The dosing tank in the picture is part of the delivery.
